Azito Energie appointed Brand Communications to handle the branding and all printed communications for the inauguration ceremony that marked the completion of Phase 3 of the power plant. The ceremony was held on 30 June 2015, on-site which is located near Abidjan. The Azito power plant construction now generates a total of 430MW and provides Cote d’Ivoire with 10% more power.

During the inauguration ceremony, the power plant was officially started by His Excellency President Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, amongst many other high profile guests, including former president of Ghana John Kuofor and prime minister of Mali and Benin.

Brand Communications looked after the whole guest journey with branding and signage that conveyed the right messages at the right time from guest’s arrival through to their seating.
To power up the communication and articulate the key messages, we created the proposition: Nous avons l’énergie (i.e. “We have the energy” in French). This gave impetus to the key benefits of the infrastructure, namely, an energy efficient and sustainable power plant equipped with cutting edge technology.

The whole communication experience was designed with the electricity visual language in mind, using power and electrical symbols to link up the messages.

The branding and communications materials developed include a large welcome entrance, billboards, pull-up banners, tear drop banners, wall banners, gift bags, the programme and factsheets.

The Azito power plant becomes the first in Côte d’Ivoire and in francophone West Africa to use the combined cycle technology and now accounts for more than 25% of the production capacity of the country.

Brand Communications is proud to support infrastructure development projects in Africa.
