Brand Communications was honoured to support Angélique Kidjo in the organisation of a press opportunity followed by a private book-signing event in its offices Tuesday 11th November 2014.

Angélique Kidjo is a Grammy Award–winning artist. The BBC has included Kidjo in its list of The African Continent’s 50 Most Iconic Figures. The Guardian has listed her as one of its Top 100 Most Inspiring Women in the World, and Kidjo is the first woman to be listed among “The 40 Most Powerful Celebrities In Africa” by Forbes Magazine. Angélique Kidjo is also an activist, who has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2002. Since March 2009, she has been campaigning for “Africa for women’s rights”. In 2007 she founded The Batonga Foundation, which gives more than 10,000 girls the opportunity to attend educational institutions.

Prior to her concert in London on the 14th of November 2014, Brand Communications organised for Angélique Kidjo to meet with various high-level media channels including Al Jazeera, Bloomberg Africa, Vox Africa TV, Arise TV et al., to discuss her book Spirit Rising my life, my music.

A press event followed by a private signing with VIP guests was held at the London office of Brand Communications. The book signing event enabled guests the opportunity to meet Angélique Kidjo and receive a personalised signed copy of her book.
