Terhas Berhe

Founder & Managing Director

Terhas Berhe is the founder and Managing Director of BrandComms. Terhas has over 20 years’ experience in brand development and public relations management, working across Africa and in Canada and the UK. She takes a pragmatic approach to creating and managing campaigns. Her hands-on management style ensures that BrandComms’ diverse and collective thinking leads to a distinct customer experience for every client.

Charles Walker

Strategy Director

Charles joined BrandComms in 2011 and leads on strategy for many of the agency’s major clients. He was previously the owner and CEO of Kemistry Brand Consultancy in South Africa until 2009, where he worked on branding and communications strategies for clients including Barclays, Coca-Cola, Vodacom, the South African Broadcast Corporation and the city of Johannesburg.

Damien Robins

Creative Director

Damien is our Executive Creative Director. He leads BC’s creative teams in developing branding and advertising that delivers for our clients. With over 20 years of experience, Damien has worked in Australia, Argentina, and the UK. His conceptual approach has led to him working with renowned agencies such as Ogilvy, Mother, and Weiden + Kennedy. He has worked across most industry sectors for many global brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, and Diageo.

Oliver Sarr

Digital & Technology Director

Oliver was born in The Gambia. He joined BrandComms in 2008, having previously worked at Gamesman where he was a design engineer. After gaining his degree from Bradford University, Oliver trained as an Industrial Designer before making the switch to branding and communications. Oliver now heads the digital department that creates BrandComms’ digital offering such as websites and systems. Oliver leads a team of digital designers and developers.

Susan Murray

Finance Director

Susan joined BrandComms nearly 10 years ago and deals with all financial aspects of the company single-handedly. She has strong financial analysis and technical accounting skills with best practice control and process implementation. She has over 20 years’ finance experience in various industries.

Valeria Colella

Senior Client Services Director

Valeria joined BrandComms Senior Account Management team in April 2021. Italian but London-based, as well as being a fluent French speaker, she has 25 years’ experience in brand and marketing within creative agencies and manufacturers. She has strong key account management and creative work management skills – from digital marketing to packaging and POS, along with experience in financial services plus many years managing African accounts. Her past international clients include Barclays/Barclaycard, McDonald’s, BP, Unilever, Mars, DHL and many others.

Diana Murray

Senior Account Director

With over 20 years of experience in Account handling, Diana is well versed in diverse marketing disciplines, including above and below-the-line, telemarketing, data-driven marketing and the production of Print, TV, Radio, Digital and Direct Marketing. She holds extensive knowledge and experience of data, channels and targeting to gain results, through lead generation, customer loyalty and awareness building. She has been responsible for the planning, selection and budgeting of multimedia
campaigns in both Africa and Europe, working with teams across a range of clients and many countries, in multiple languages and cultures.

Anne Collins

Senior Account Director

Anne joined BC in 2010 to work with Ecobank, delivering large scale advertising campaigns and branding support over a decade of great change both in financial services and in the advertising landscape. Anne’s UK experience has centred on working with major international brands including Airbus, Citroen and Kraft in multiple markets, before which she spent 14 years working in France and Italy which led to her fascination for marketing across borders and cultures.

Veronique Verlinden

Senior PR Account Director

Veronique is a dedicated communications expert who draws on her international development experience and business skill set to create positive change. She has over 15 years of communications experience, providing strategic counsel to her clients on internal and corporate communications. Her previous experience includes working for an international PR agency in Brussels, and charitable NGOs and a United Nations agency in the UK and Kenya. She has been working at BrandComms since 2015.

Greg Schultz

Design Director

Greg joined BrandComms in 2017 having worked across multiple sectors including branding, retail and packaging at agencies like Spencer Landor, Fitch, Publicis and Honey Creative. Over a 25-year career, his passion has been to help brands achieve real cut-through, whether through applying rigorous thinking, generating bold ideas or creating 360 design systems. Clients include Afreximbank, Vista Bank, Harrods (where Greg was awarded three DBAs), Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Nestlé (UK and Asia) and Tesco.

Alex Reay-Glover

Digital Account Director

Alex joined the team in 2021 and heads up Client Services for our Digital Team, helping to deliver innovative technology and digital marketing solutions to our clients. During his 7 years in the industry, he has worked across a wide range of disciplines including media planning, digital content and website development, and is a big believer in the power of integrated marketing solutions. Prior to working with BrandComms he has worked with brands including Samsung, American Express and PepsiCo.

Nivine Nosshy

Account Director

Nivine joined the team in 2019 and heads up Client Services for one of our key accounts in Egypt, African Export-Import Bank. In her role, Nivine serves the client on two main fronts: strategic branding and event management, catering to a wide range of innovative financial initiatives and mega events that support the African continent. Nivine has over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, integrated marketing & communication, product management, advertising, and account management and has worked with key renowned investment banks in Egypt such as HC, EFG-Hermes, and CI Capital.

Nicholas Jeffries

PR Account Director

Nik joined BrandComms in 2019 and has over 15 years’ experience in media and communications. He has worked in public relations for nine years; raising profiles for start-ups, FTSE 100 businesses and multinational organisations including Telefónica, Cisco and Sage. He is passionate about brand messaging and has proven success of developing and executing integrated and issues-led campaigns that ensure the voice of a business is heard at a high level.

Stuart Koe

Project Manager

Stuart has worked with BrandComms for 11 years, leading on Creative Services, Project and Print Management – including management of all client Annual Reports within that time. With 26 years of agency experience, he has managed marketing communications, DM, advertising campaigns and events both below and above the line for a wide range of clients including Vodafone, Sony, Lexus, Sybase and Save the Children, as well as a number of African clients, over a wide range of disciplines.

Tina Perdikis

Studio Director

Tina joined the BC team 2 years ago, as Senior Creative Artworker, with 20 years industry experience. Prior to working with BrandComms, she worked at a prominent creative agency in South Africa on clients including Ecolab, Hot 91.9 FM, Brides&Co, ANAT, and The Society for Animals in Distress. She is passionate about the detail and adept in print production.

Frieda Noamessi

Country Manager – Ghana

Frieda joined BrandComms in 2011 as Client Service Assistant. Currently the Country Manager of the Ghana branch, Frieda oversees the general operations of the agency and specialises in servicing African brands such as Ecobank, Access Bank, Vista Bank, Goldkey Properties, Devtraco Limited, Thelo DB, Afreximbank and AFC across the continent. During her 11 years in the industry, she has gathered much experience in media engagement, event planning and marketing collaterals production. Frieda previously worked with Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) in Lomé-Togo as Communications Interface Officer. Frieda speaks French and English fluently and is a member of the Advertising Association of Ghana.

Ahmed Elshawadfy

Senior Project Manager

Ahmed is a dedicated BrandComms Project Manager, based in Cairo. He manages communications projects and international events working closely with major clients, including Afreximbank. He sources solutions with partners, negotiates with suppliers, co-ordinates and supervises branding as well as presentation equipment and executes on-site event management, and more. He holds an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and worked for Emirates NBD Bank in Cairo, before joining BrandComms in 2016.

Delia Samuel

Operations Manager

Delia joined the BC Family in 2022 and her role is to ensure that the client event experience is seamless, effective and efficient. From selecting the most effective venue to the most efficient suppliers for your particular event. Having spent 29 years in various roles within the hospitality industry Delia has been the lead coordinator for events such as COP17 and International AIDS and TB Conference.

Kim Dreyer

Senior Account Manager

Kim Dreyer has experience in the Public Relations and Communications sector working within a wide client portfolio and across various media channels. She has worked with key client accounts in finance, mining, retail, entertainment and consumer verticals with a remit to support and roll out agreed communication strategies.

Hannah Riding

Senior Account Manager

Hannah had been managing print and digital campaigns from concept to delivery for over 12 years before joining BrandComms in 2021. She has worked with a diverse portfolio of brands including TalkTalk, Carphone Warehouse, British Heart Foundation, S&P Global, and a leading consumer electronics brand based in Cupertino, CA. She has a background in print production management across web, litho, digital and large format as well as installations, production for web and digital, event branding and transcreation in French and Spanish. 

Phil Dobson

Senior Account Manager

Phil has been with BrandComms since March 2021 and is a Senior Account Manager on the Marketing team. He is responsible for implementing Ecobank campaigns from the strategy to the production stage. He has over 7 years’ experience in the industry within integrated agencies, working across Radio, TV, Digital and Planning projects and is interested in how AI will play a part in advertising in the near future. He has worked with brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Barclays, Mastercard, and Hargreaves Lansdown.

Richard Lawton

Senior Designer

Richard joined BrandComms in 2017, bringing with him extensive expertise in branding and marketing, particularly in the realm of creative, ideas-driven design across diverse sectors such as finance, healthcare, and property marketing. His contributions have garnered awards from esteemed institutions such as D&AD, DBA, and Transform Europe.

Taurayi Mutiti

Senior Web Developer

Taurayi joined Brand Communications in June of 2015. He is a highly skilled web developer. Delivering mid-size to large scale website projects for a wide variety of agencies in the UK. His niche is writing code to control and modify web interface behaviour.

Charles Sam

Graphic Designer

Charles is based in Accra and joined BrandComms in 2012. With a background in graphics and visual art, he has almost a decade’s experience working as a graphic designer and an art director. Before joining the team, he worked as the art director for a leading lifestyle magazine, Canoe. Charles is a member of the Advertising Association of Ghana.

Anesu Murwisi

Social Media Manager

Anesu joined the team in January 2020 and is the Social Media Manager in charge of development and implementation of social media strategies alongside the PR & Communications Team; as well as managing all our clients’ social media platforms and measuring their performance. Anesu holds an MA Luxury Brand Management with over 6 years experience in social media, and believes in helping brands become one with their audience in order to communicate effectively with them and fulfil their needs. Prior to working at BrandComms, she has worked with brands including The Floor Magazine and New Look.

Fatou-Maty Diouf

Account Manager

Fatou joined the team in 2021 and is an Account Manager. She holds a Msc in Accounting, Organisations, and Institutions at the London School of Economics. As part of the PR Team, she conducts strategic insight reports for clients.

Tracy Derby

Account Manager

Tracy joined BrandComms in 2019 focusing specifically on the Afreximbank account, assisting with internal and external events & communication. A natural problem solver with a lot of ideas, she offers a pragmatic and rational approach and great interpersonal skills. Prior to joining BrandComms, she worked in luxury with brands such as Mulberry, where she prioritised client and customer service, bringing her degree in Business Management to life by opening an experiential store – focusing solely on customer experience.

Nandi Masembe Kanyerezi

Account Manager

Nandi joined the team in 2020 as an Account Executive, before being promoted to Junior Account Manager a year later. As part of the account team, she works together with the strategy, design, studio and motion teams to see through campaigns from the strategy stage right through to delivery. Nandi previously interned at Citibank before changing industries to join BrandComms, where she has worked with brands including Ecobank, Batonga and Enko Capital.

Sasha Krivitskii

Events Executive

Aleksandr joined the team in 2021 having graduated from Newcastle University in international marketing and management. He has a passion for events and is keen to ensure that clients get the most out of them. He is a committed individual who is always learning and taking the initiative. His studies have provided him with a plethora of soft and technical skills ready to take on unique challenges. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines including information and data management, event registration management and website development/updating.
