Objective
To seize a great opportunity – the eyes of all Africa and beyond focused on AFCON 2023 – to showcase the new Ecobank brand campaign and align the excitement and youthful energy of this truly pan-African celebration with the Ecobank brand reasserting its presence and purpose.
We created
A major sponsorship engagement with the new Ecobank TV commercial and pitch-side LED advertising as its focal point. The commercial debuted on broadcast networks, giant screens at stadiums and fan zones simultaneously to reach a huge audience across the continent.
The AFCON sponsorship was supported with print and social media executions that emphasised Ecobank sharing in Africa’s collective pride and enjoyment during a globally watched event that highlights pan-African promise and potential.
Results
With high-profile exposure during the tournament (in-stadium and televised) and local activations in four languages, AFCON was an unmissable opportunity successfully grasped to connect with a youth-oriented demographic and build a platform for positive future engagement.
